WOW – What a DISAPPOINTMENT, and not a shadow of its former glory, poor old Paulo would be turning in his grave – My Wife’s Birthday, the atmosphere resembled that of a Victorian Brothel, the food was very mediocre, highly priced small portions, barely warm, and pretty tasteless then to pay £17.00 for insufficient vegetables between four of us was frankly insulting. Wine at £33.00 a bottle and a very “casual” level of service, including the production of a Birthday treat (just as we were leaving having paid) consisted of a side plate with a single candle and four mints all made for an evening I was embarrassed to have taken my wife, friends and son to – Michelin ? Was definitely once… BUT certainly is no longer…. Perhaps why the restaurant was very far from busy…
